…The Sight Effects of Golden Penny Swallow

A British proverb says “The eyes are the window to the soul.” This means that the eyes express things not said- joy, fear, love, desires, anger, hatred, etc.; you can see from a person’s eyes whether to move closer or to run. However, you are more likely to misinterpret the expression from another person’s eyes when your eyes are not seeing well. But your eyes do so much more than that! They help us visualize objects and also help us with light, colour, and depth perceptions. Of the five senses, sight is the one that is most fearful to lose.

According to the Cleveland Clinic, your eyes are a key sensory organ, feeding information to your brain about the outside world. Your eyes do the “physical” part of seeing. The signals they send allow your brain to “build” the picture that you see.

Diet & Eyesight

The health of your eyes is closely linked to what you eat. In our reports on how blood sugar spikes, we noted that a fiber-rich diet like Goldenvita moderates blood sugar by slowing down the digestive system to allow gradual absorption of glucose to blood to prevent type 2 diabetes ICYMI visit: https://www.citizencomfort.com/2024/07/05/goldenvita-moderates-blood-sugar/

Experts say simple fiber-less carbohydrate diets can lead to age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a common cause of vision loss in older adults because they cause rapid blood sugar spikes (Type 2 diabetes). Instead of consuming fiber-less carbs, opt for whole-grain versions like Golden Penny Semolina foods to maintain stable blood sugar levels. High sugar intake including energy drinks also causes high blood sugar.

How Golden Penny Semolina Improves Vision

Apart from the fiber-rich component in GP Swallow like Goldenvita and Semovita, there are other pro-vision nutrients embedded in it. Because GP semolina is made from whole grain, it’s naturally rich in zinc before premixed with antioxidant vitamins.

The zinc in the semolina produces melanin, a pigment that protects the eye. Melanin acts like a built-in sunscreen, absorbing potentially harmful UV and blue light. Also, experts say that when zinc binds to rhodopsin, a pigment-containing sensory protein that converts light into an electrical signal, it controls the light response in the eye, allowing the eyes to see properly in different lighting conditions.

GP Semolina, processed from whole grain, contains selenium, a natural mineral that supports antioxidant enzymes like zinc. GP Semolina is premixed with essential antioxidants and vitamins including vitamins A, C, and E, these nutrients play a crucial role in protecting body cells from damage caused by free radicals. These nutrients support the vision and the immune health.
